Our chosen smoothie recipe has been tried and tested by all of the team. It’s healthy and quick for you to whizz up for breakfast or before a workout.

Banana, Nut and Date Smoothie

This smoothie is packed full of nutrients and some of our all time favourite foods, which anyone adopting a healthy lifestyle should keep in storage! It’s hard to believe that this smoothie is good for you with its sweet and creamy texture.  This smoothie could easily replace a dessert if you don’t like a sweet breakfast or can be taken as an afternoon snack when you feel your energy levels are dipping.

Why is it good for me?

The banana component is filling and will provide you with both potassium and magnesium. It is a great idea to use ripe bananas in smoothies before they become over-ripe.

We chose almonds for the nut component of this smoothie but you can replace this with walnuts or cashews depending on your preference. Almonds also contain the above-mentioned nutrients as well as being loaded with antioxidants and Vitamin E. Nuts are another great way to keep fuller for longer and we regularly recommend them as a snack to our clients.

Finally, dates are a dream for anyone who has a sweet tooth. They are such a great way to introduce natural sugar in place of artificial sugar to your diet. Another great property is that they are rich in fibre, great for clients who are suffering from constipation.
