Eggnog is been typically made lots of sugar, eggs, and heavy cream. This 1 drink contains a lot of calories with very little nutritional value. However, you can still enjoy all of the traditional drinks and foods just by switching certain ingredients to healthier ones. We have chosen to use almond milk instead of cream or whole milk, bananas instead of refined sugar, and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg for a flavorsome drink which the whole family can still enjoy. By switching to these healthier ingredients, you are avoiding consuming over half the fat and calories compared to a traditional eggnog recipe. But don’t worry, we kept the bourbon, but if you opt not to add this in, it is just like a breakfast smoothie.
