Recipe: Chocolate and Banana Protein Porridge
This is a perfect breakfast recipe – full of protein to keep you full and carbs to give you energy, it will set you up for a busy, energetic day ahead!
- 1 banana
- 1⁄2 cup oats
- 1⁄2 cup milk (we love almond)
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- Cacao nibs or whatever toppings you like!
Measure out half a cup of oats into a saucepan. Add the water, almond milk and cinnamon.
Heat the oats up slowly, stirring regularly and add half of the banana chopped into slices.
Once the oats have reached your desired consistency, pour them into a bowl and stir in your protein powder slowly.
Top the porridge with the rest of the chopped banana, some cacao nibs, flaked almonds and a sprinkling of granola for crunch!
